We have free WiFi access and offer a great range of teas and artisan roasted coffee (and chocolate!). Why meet in a coffee shop where you have to find parking, pay over the odds and put up with noisy overcrowding? Why not meet in a pub, relax with friends or hold a business meeting - enjoy a great coffee made by our fully trained staff and maybe even treat yourself to a sandwich. Rain or shine our warm welcome awaits!

The George Hotel core menu is rotated on a cyclical process, where we try to reflect the seasons through the dishes we create . The type of food it offers is traditional home cooked food which is prepared to a consistent standard along with the freshest ingredients. We try to source our ingredients as local as we can . We believe in using the simplest of recipes but producing them well.

We also use a daily specials board which allows us to use the freshest of ingredients at competitive prices which are relative to what is in season. The special board allows our chefs to experiment and be creative and potentially enticing the customers apetites along the way.

FROME- A character market town in unspoilt Somerset.

Frome is the fourth largest town in Somerset and a wonderful centre from which to visit the surrounding area. It is an attractive town built on steep hills with cobbled streets. Architecturally well preserved, there are more listed buildings in Frome than any other Somerset town.

In recent years the town has developed a reputation as a focus for arts and craft, there are a number of galleries and contemporary craft centres.

The George Hotel has played an important role for the residents of Frome, based in the very centre of the market town, it is popular as a regular meeting place.
